The walk is just around the corner!!!

Dear 2009 Walkers,

I am so excited for the Walk for Farm Animals this Saturday! It promises to be an afternoon filled with fun, yummy food samples and amazing prizes. Everyone will be going home with a gift bag thanks to all of our generous sponsors.

I encourage everyone to try to get as many donations as they can before Saturday. Keep in mind there will be fantastic prizes for the top fundraisers!

The event will be taking place at Ferry Park Plaza, which is North of Justin Herman Plaza, right behind the fountains.

Here is the schedule for the day:

Registration, silent auction and free vegan food samples

12:00-1:00

Guest speakers Joyce Tischler and Christopher D. Cook

1:00-1:40

Award ceremony for top fundraisers and silent auction winners

1:40-2:00

The Walk (the Walk will start and finish at the Ferry Park Plaza totalling 2.9 miles, approximately 49 minutes)

2:00-3:00

A few words regarding the silent auction;

Please make sure you bring cash! The auction will be closing at 1pm sharp. Winners will be announced after the presentations. If yours was a winning bid, please stop by the table after the walk to pay for and claim your prize.

It is not too late to bring a friend to the event. They can register Saturday for $20.
