Donations still needed!

Friends of Farm Sanctuary, This year's San Francisco Walk for Farm Animals was a huge success. We are in the process of totaling up our final numbers and it looks as though we are short of matching last year's total. There's still time to accept donations via your Firstgiving page. In fact, if everyone who walked with us on Oct. 24th collects just an additional $20 each in donations, we will have exceeded last year's fund-raising efforts. That said, I have a request of you. Can you help us help Farm Sanctuary by raising an additional $20 in donations by November 16th? You have two full weeks and that's just over a $1 a day! Together, we can do this and help make it a landmark fund-raising year for the animals! Please let me know if you have any questions. --

Dear 2009 Walkers,

I am so excited for the Walk for Farm Animals this Saturday! It promises to be an afternoon filled with fun, yummy food samples and amazing prizes. Everyone will be going home with a gift bag thanks to all of our generous sponsors.

I encourage everyone to try to get as many donations as they can before Saturday. Keep in mind there will be fantastic prizes for the top fundraisers!

The event will be taking place at Ferry Park Plaza, which is North of Justin Herman Plaza, right behind the fountains.

The Walk (the Walk will start and finish at the Ferry Park Plaza totalling 2.9 miles, approximately 49 minutes)

A few words regarding the silent auction;

Please make sure you bring cash! The auction will be closing at 1pm sharp. Winners will be announced after the presentations. If yours was a winning bid, please stop by the table after the walk to pay for and claim your prize.

It is not too late to bring a friend to the event. They can register Saturday for $20.

Silent auction - day of event

I have decided to hold a silent auction the day of the event instead of a raffle draw! All proceeds will of course be going to Farm Sanctuary, and will also got towards costs associated to the event.

There will be a special table set-up with all the prizes on display, and sheets where you can write your name and your bid. If you win a bid, you will be going home with the prize, so make sure you bring cash with you :)
